Import a Contact

If an individual already has an Intermedix user account for EMResource or EMTrack, you can import the contact's information into eICS. Importing can help you save time and effort in setting up a new contact's record, and ensure the individual is recognized as the same user across systems.


To import a contact
  1. Point to Planning and click Contacts. The Contacts for (facility/domain) page opens.

  2. In the Contacts for​ menu, select the appropriate domain or facility.

  3. On the left, click Add New Contact​. Add New Contact to (domain or facility) pageopens on the right.

  4. Click Import Contact. The Import CAM Users window opens.

  5. In Search users in CAM, enter the contact's last name or username.

  6. Click Search. Results appear in the table.

  7. Take one of these actions:

    If you... Then...

    Locate the contact,

    1. On that row, click Import. The contact's user account opens.

    2. Click Create.

    3. If you want to make changes to the account, go to Edit a Contact.

    Do not locate the contact,

    1. Click Cancel. The window closes.

    2. If you want to add the person as a new contact, see Search for and Add a Contact.
