Copy a Run Record

In the instance that you are picking up a repeat patient or need to document about multiple patients involved in the same incident, you can create a new record by copying an existing run record. To speed up the documentation process and tailor it to your incident, you can specify exactly what data is copied ot the new incident, including incident data, dispatch IDs, patient names, trauma details, and more. 

To copy an existing run record in Windows

Note: This functionality only operates when your device is connected to the Internet.

  1. From the Home page, tap Recent Records.

  2. Tap the copy icon associated with the record you want to copy. The Copy Record window opens.

  3. In the Select Data window, select the items you want to copy.

    Note: To copy all data from a previous run, tap the Select All button.

    You may choose from:

    • Incident

      • Dispatch ID

      • Response Number

    • Scene

    • Patient

      • Same Patient

      • Family Member

    • Chief Complaint

    • Medical History

    • Assessment

    • Trauma

    • Sketch Pad

    • Call Times from Events

    • Destination

    • Narrative

    • Insurance & Payment

  4. When you have completed your selections, tap Next.

  5. In the Pickup & Destination Location section, select one of the following options:

    • Copy selected location(s) as is – Select this option to copy both the Pickup and Destination locations to the new run record, if they are checked below.

    • Copy only destination to Pickup – Select this option to copy the Destination location into the Pickup location in the new run record.

    • Copy & Swap both locations – Select this option to copy and then reverse the Pickup and Destination locations to the new run record.

  6. Tap Create Run.

To copy an existing run record in Web
  1. From any page, go to Run Records: Recent Records.

  2. Click the copy icon associated with the record you want to copy. The Copy Record window opens.

  3. In the Pick Up & Destination Location section, select one of the following options:

    • Copy selected location(s) as is – Select this option to copy both the Pickup and Destination locations to the new run record, if they are checked below.

    • Copy only destination to Pickup – Select this option to copy the Destination location into the Pickup location in the new run record.

    • Copy & Swap both locations – Select this option to copy and then reverse the Pickup and Destination locations to the new run record.

  4. In the Select Data section, select the items you want to copy. You may choose from:

    • Incident

      • Dispatch ID

      • Response Number

    • Scene

    • Patient

      • Same Patient

      • Family Member

    • Chief Complaint

    • Medical History

    • Assessment

    • Trauma

    • Sketch Pad

    • Call Times from Events

    • Destination

    • Narrative

    • Insurance & Payment

  5. When you have completed your selections, click Create Run to create and open the new record.
