Look Up a Patient by SSN

There are several ways to look up a patient within TripTix. The advantage to looking up a patient is that, by doing so, certain fields automatically populate. With less information to input, the medic saves valuable time. Furthermore, with the automatic population of specific patient demographic information fields, the chance for errors is decreased.

You can look up a patient in several ways: by full name and date of birth, by social security number, and by driver license number. No matter which method you use to look up a patient, the Address, DOB, SSN, and Phone fields may automatically populate. For repeat patients, the Gender, Ethnicity, History, Medications, Allergies, and Insurance fields are among those that may also be automatically completed based on previous run records.

To look up a patient by social security number in Windows
  1. In the side navigation of an open run record, tap Patient. The section expands to show the available subsections.

  2. If not already selected, tap Identity.

  3. In the Identity section, for SSN, enter the patient's social security number.

  4. Tap the Social Security Number Lookup button.

  5. In the window that opens showing the results of the SSN lookup, select the most accurate record from the list.

  6. Tap Verify With Patient.

  7. In the Confirm Details window, verify that the individual you selected is your patient.

  8. If the individual is your patient, tap Confirm.

Tip: If this is the incorrect patient, tap Back to Results and select a different individual from the results list.

To look up a patient by social security number in Web
  1. In the side navigation of an open run record, click Patient. The Identity subsection is displayed.

  2. For SSN, enter the patient's social security number.

  3. To the right of the SSN field, click the search button.

  4. In the Patient Lookup window that opens, select the most accurate record from the list.

  5. Click Verify with Patient.

  6. In the Confirm Details window, verify that the individual you selected is your patient.

  7. If the individual is your patient, click Confirm.

Tip: If this is the incorrect patient, click Back to Results and select a different individual from the results list.
