Narrative Variables

TripTix allows you to use a number of variables to complete the narrative faster and more accurately. Variables include incident information that has been entered into the record, such as the patient's name or age. For example, if you have recorded that the patient is 56 years old in the Patient section, inserting the Patient Age variable automatically adds 56 to the narrative.

To add a variable, click the Insert Variable button and select a variable from the list.

Note: If a run record field associated with the variable is empty, the variable is not inserted and TripTix displays a warning message. You must enter information in the field and then insert the variable.

When you are using a narrative template with variables, and fields associated with the variables do not contain any information, the variables appear in square brackets: for example, [Patient Age].
