Set Up Event Security

If you want to control the users who can manage this type of event, you can do so from the event template. The users you specify in the template's Event Security for (template) page are allowed to activate and update this type of event.


This feature is available if security is enabled from within the template (that is, if the Security check box is selected when creating or editing a template). If enabled, the Security link appears in the template's Action column in the Event Template List.

Use the fields at the top of the page to search for specific users.

To set up security
  1. From any page, open the Event menu and click Event Setup. The Event Template List page opens.

  2. Locate the template and click its Security link. The Event Security for (template) page opens.

  3. Select the check boxes for the users you want to have event management rights or clear the check boxes for users you do not want to have these rights.

  4. Click Save. The Event Template List re-opens.
