Activate or Deactivate Pick List Items

When you want a pick list item to be invisible to users but available for future use if needed, deactivate the item. Deactivated pick list items can be activated again at any time.

To activate or deactivate items

Note: You cannot activate or deactivate demographics.

  1. From any page, go to Administration: Pick Lists.

  2. From the table, select the pick list you want to modify from the table. That pick list's page opens. If you select a department demographic, such as Department Facilities, the demographic page opens instead.

  3. To activate a currently inactive item: 

    • In the Inactive section, locate the item you want to activate and click Activate.

    • In the window that opens, click Yes. The item appears in the Active section and can now be selected by users.

  4. To deactivate an active item: 

    • In the Active section, locate the item you want to deactivate and click Deactivate.

    • In the window that opens, click Yes. The item appears in the Inactive section and users can no longer select it.
